Notes:this estimate is using complete “rebuilt” axle shafts, as this is the most economical and logical repair procedure, saving time and money. This estimate does not include diagnostics, which, if applicable, are generally waived, as CV joints are fairly obvious to pin-point.Given the age and mileage of vehicle, axle seals “may” need to be replaced (Add .2 labor hours per side, plus 7.98 per seal).

Consider installing used axle shafts. These are readily available. Prices start around $75 each. Many repair shops will not install used parts, given the risk. There is some merit to this concern. However, provided the used axles are purchased from a reputable salvage yard, the risk is low.
